I tried some of the common procedures for “slow macbooks”, but my problem persists: when saving/opening a file in any program (e.g. I would be very thankful if you could give me a hint!ĭear friends, I am using a Macbook pro 15" 2015 currently with OS 10.14.6 Mojave (I can't update to Catalina yet because of important 32bit software I cannot discard yet). I understand that the save/open dialogue is a sub-function of Finder, isn't it? But I can't re-install Finder. I couldn't find anything by searching the web, either. I did all usual procedures, cleaning hard-disc, restarting often, opening fewer apps, all this doesn't by any means influence this phenomenon. This sounds like a small issue, but I have to do this so often that it becomes incredibly annoying. MS office, Firefox or chrome browser, etc, program doesn't seem to matter), the pop-up of the open- or save-to dialogue freezes for around 10 seconds, and sometimes, when I select another sub-folder to open, freezes again.
